Pulsar Axion XQ38 Hand Held Thermal Imager https://haylettgrangeshootingsupplies.com/product/pulsar-axion-xq38-hand-held-thermal-imager/ https://haylettgrangeshootingsupplies.com/product/pulsar-axion-xq38-hand-held-thermal-imager/#respond Wed, 15 Sep 2021 15:25:24 +0000 https://www.haylettgrangeshootingsupplies.com/?post_type=product&p=5107 The Pulsar Axion XQ38 Thermal imager features a  384 x 288 SUB 40MK NETD thermal sensor to deliver ground breaking thermal performance in an ultra compact thermal imager providing up to 1350M detection via a  3.5x TO 14x magnification.

The Pulsar Axion XQ38 hand held thermal features a 384×288 17µm <40mK NETD thermal sensor. The NETD (Noise Equivalent of Temperature Differential), expressed in millikelvins (mK) is one of the most important parameters for thermal sensors as it describes their sensitivity. The lower the NETD value, the higher the sensitivity.

In existing Helion, Trail and Accolade and Axion series models the NETD value was sub 60mK. The new <40mK sensor, exclusively manufactured by ULIS for Pulsar puts Pulsar devices at the forefront of the market with the devices all featuring a better image in conditions where there is a low-temperature difference such as during rainfall, fog or cold mornings. These environmental conditions are the most difficult for thermal imagers and this new sensor will provide a clearer image for users.

The Axion XQ38 is perfectly suited to outdoor conditions, with a robust magnesium bodyshell, an IPX7 protection rating (fully waterproof), 1024×768 AMOLED HD micro-display and can perform in both hot & freezing temperatures.

The Axion XQ38 comes equipped with its own internal stadiametric rangefinder, which helps aid observers in estimating target distances with the height of known objects. Additionally, the unit has up to eight colour palettes to help enhance observation in varying conditions.

Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, upon activation, displays a second image with magnification in the top part of the Axion’s display screen. This small image helps to zoom in on a target while retaining the rest of the field of view, maximising situational awareness.

The Axion’s built-in WiFi module means owners will be able to make use of Pulsar’s Free Stream Vision App. Stream Vision allows you to remote control the Axion, set-up the Axion as a motion detector, transfer & share images to your smartphone or tablet and even live stream footage to online web platforms. (Please Note: Stream Vision & WiFi functionality is only available to the non-key model.)

The Axion has an instant start-up and an instant ‘display-off’ mode, which helps to save energy and prolong the operation time of the unit and its dedicated B-Pack Mini Power System. The APS5 Battery Pack system offers an ultra-lightweight, quick-change power option that provides hours of operating time. APS Battery Packs can be charged by USB through its intended unit or an APS Battery Charger. (Please note that the Axion XQ38 & LRF XQ38 utilise a different battery & charger to the rest of the Axion Series)

The Pulsar Helion 2 PRO offers unprecedented thermal sensitivity NETD <25mK ensuring perfect detail recognition even in the hardest weather conditions when thermal contrast is low.

The smallest temperature differences will be clearly visible during the rainfall, fog or cold mornings in the most difficult conditions for thermal imager.

Sharp, richly contrasted thermal imaging for enhanced identification of animals, their extremities and even the smallest details, i.e. branches, leaves, grass and terrain.

With 2x to 20x variable magnification via a powerful long-distance F50/1.0 objective lens combined with a 640×480@17µm highly-sensitive thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities.

A standard 1.8 m tall object can be detected up to 1800 m away in complete darkness.

Image Boost

The Helion 2 Pro thermal imager produces clear, high contrast images with precise tracing of contours and informative visualization of the smallest objects and areas with minimal temperature differences. A hunter is able to clearly identify objects, both target and background, as well as accurately evaluate the trophy.

Integrated rangefinder

Based on estimated heights of observed objects, the stadiametric rangefinding reticle makes determining precise distances fast, easy, reliable and repeatable.

Wireless remote control

The ergonomic, wireless remote control, with encoder wheel, puts the full range of the Helion’s capabilities at your fingertips for comfortable, convenient, hands-off operation.

Market Leading Image quality

The 17µm sensor and heat sink, located on the device’s body, effectively prevents heat build-up from the sensor and other components while also significantly reducing temperature and noise sensitivity, especially between calibrations.

Stream Vision integrated connection with mobile device.

The Stream Vision software connects the device with Android/iOS mobile unit (smartphone or tablet) which enables you to receive footage in the real time mode, to distantly operate the device with your smartphone, as well to stream online the image captured by the device to Youtube.

New integrated power supply

Helion includes a progressive autonomous B-Pack power supply consisting of a quick-detach, rechargeable IPS7, 5.2A-h battery pack designed to deliver over 8 hrs. of operation on maximum mode. Higher-powered IPS10 battery packs, as well as CR123A and AA battery cases, also are available and provide a perfect off-the-grid power solution.

8 Custom Colour Modes

In addition to user favourite “white hot” and “black hot” imaging, Helion thermal scopes offer a robust array of 8 colour palettes for true colorised temperature mapping. Transitioning from colour to default white hot during operation is fast and easy.

Integrated Video Recording

Capturing still images and video is seamless with the Helion’s built-in video recorder. Image and video content is stored internally and can easily be transferred to PC/laptop via wired connection or Wi-Fi.
